Our History
Armada has grown steadily to become Canberra's leading local solar company. Established in 2007 as Armada Solar, with over 800 solar installations in the ACT region, it has undertaken a transformation to move further into energy efficiency products, particularly double glazing. We have developed our double glazing window and doors range and an in-house capacity to install them. We continue to provide solar services and maintenance and have a general electrical business with an emphasis on energy efficiency. We believe Canberra should be one of the most sustainable cities in the world and understand the specific requirements needed in this region.
Our Vision
Our philosophy is that every building in Australia should be as energy efficient as possible and draw as much energy from the sun as they can, ideally becoming ‘Energy Positive’ by producing more energy than they consume. We are also committed to contributing to the Australian Government’s ‘20 by 2020’ target (20% of Australia’s energy produced by renewable sources by 2020) by helping popularise and proliferate the adoption of solar power.
We believe in a strong local economy and are only interested in servicing the ACT and region. We are also in the process of implementing an employee share ownership where the staff will own a significant portion of the company.
